Give Outlook its own notification sound on your Mac

Why Outlook sounds like every other alert

macOS has a single alert sound, and the only per-app control it offers is a switch to play a sound or not. So Outlook's chime is identical to Slack, Teams, and everything else — there's no way to make it sound like Outlook.

Outlook can be busy: calendar invites, replies, list mail, and the message you're actually waiting for all arrive the same way. When they all sound the same, the ones that matter get buried.
